If you only read one of my blog posts, let it be this one. Because I'm not writing much, but Richard Bach is. And hopefully he will change you for the better, like he did for me.

So last week I wrote about my favorite quotes... but I intentionally left out the place I source my most meaningful messages from. Sorry. But this author deserves an entire blog post and your entire attention.

If we are friends, I have probably gifted you this book or told you about it relentlessly. Most recently I even gifted this book to a dear friend in Spanish. Everyone needs this book. And if not the book, at least the quotes that come from the story. Illusions by Richard Bach. It was gifted to me probably 15 years ago. The magic of this book has been continuously changing my life for the better, through a variety of different stages of my life... for 15 years!!! And it's less than $10 on Amazon. Worth it. Buy it. Buy it again for someone else.

Anytime I feel stirred up, frustrated, angry, unappreciated, upset, mixed up, loving, open, grateful, giving or anything in between, I know I can look at this book and it's quotes and find my power. It will challenge you. Challenge your thinking, your perspective, your thoughts. It might feel uncomfortable. It does for me at times. But that's when I know I'm doing something right. The goodness of this book is meant to help move your needle towards true fulfillment in life. If I can guide you to do that for yourself, I feel my job on Earth is done.

So let's try and do it. May theses quotes ignite your soul to be even better than the moment before you read them. And after seeing these beautiful messages, go read Illusions. Nothing more important than living a life that serves our soul and ripples that goodness to others. This book does that.

Let's dive into some of my favorite quotes:

_____________________________

"What a caterpillars calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly."

"True love stories never have endings"

"Argue your limitations and sure enough, they are yours" "Don't be dismayed at good byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends."

“Your conscience is the measure of the honesty of your selfishness. Listen to it carefully.”

“We teach best what we most need to learn.”

"Learning is finding out what you already know. Doing is demonstrating that you know it. Teaching is reminding others that they know just as well as you. You are all learners, doers, teachers.”

“The best way to avoid responsibility is to say, 'I've got responsibilities.”

“You seek problems because you need their gifts.”

“Happiness is a choice. It is not always an easy one.”

“We choose, ourselves, to be hurt or not to be hurt, no matter what. Us who decides. Nobody else.”

“In order to live free and happily, you must sacrifice boredom. It is not always an easy sacrifice”

“If we want to end this lifetime higher than we began, we can expect an uphill road.”

"You gave your life to become the person you are right now Was it worth it?”

I am forever changed by this book for the better thanks to this friend above. Thank you David! I can only hope to be this person to someone else. And that is 10000000% the reason for this blog post.

But also, one last Richard Bach quote:

“Everything above may be wrong!”

Oh hey! You want to know about me?

I am the daughter of a loud Jewish New Yorker, born, raised & currently living in Maryland. I thrive selfishly on 1:1 conversations, fitness, acts of kindness, and nature. I am obsessed with dogs, not following recipes (and wondering why they don't work), Brach's candy corn, and warm black leggings. I am currently a full time mom, working certified ASL interpreter, novice beekeeper, ice cream maker, and home renovator. Oh and of course a constant pizza maker. I love to learn and try whatever gives me excited curiosity! I hope sharing my stories with you ignites your passionate self too. #Spreadlove
